Course Description

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration HVAC/R industry. Participants will learn to identify, use, and maintain industry-specific tools and accessories, while also developing essential mathematical skills. The curriculum delves into the properties of matter, heat behavior, and the historical and conceptual foundations of HVAC/R. Key topics include the analysis of fluids, pressures, refrigerants, and relevant codes, along with evaluations of system components and accessories. Students will gain practical expertise in fabricating and servicing piping, tubing, and fittings, as well as operating mechanical refrigeration servicing and testing equipment. Additionally, the course covers fundamental electrical concepts and components in HVAC/R systems, providing an understanding of electrical wiring, troubleshooting control systems, testing generation components, and maintaining motors. These skills equip participants with the electrical knowledge, wiring techniques, and troubleshooting abilities necessary to manage HVAC/R systems effectively.
