Course Description

This course is an introduction to the German language and culture. Students will develop basic communicative skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in German. Emphasis is placed on pronunciation, fundamental grammar, and practical vocabulary related to everyday situations. Cultural aspects of German-speaking countries are integrated throughout the course.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

1. Understand and use basic German vocabulary and expressions for everyday interactions.

2. Demonstrate accurate German pronunciation.

3. Apply basic grammar structures, including verb conjugations and sentence formation.

4. Use two tenses of verbs (present tense and present perfect) in the active voice.

5. Engage in simple conversations on topics such as family, daily routines, and hobbies.

6. Develop an awareness of cultural norms and practices in German-speaking countries.
