Course Description

This course builds on the foundational knowledge acquired in German 1. Students will expand their vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills. Topics include housing, health, travel, and banking. Cultural elements of German-speaking countries continue to be emphasized.

GSE/CEFR Level: German 2 aligns with GSE range 30-45 / CEFR Level A2 (Elementary). 

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

1. Communicate effectively in German on topics such as housing, health, and travel.

2. Utilize expanded grammatical structures, including two-way prepositions and past tense forms.

3. Develop listening and reading comprehension skills.

4. Engage in dialogues about practical and cultural topics.

5. Explore societal norms and customs in German-speaking countries.
