Course Description

Take the first step in becoming an FAA Certificated Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Remote Pilot. Earn your FAA Part 107 license by passing the required FAA written exam after taking our 16-hour FAA Part 107 Test Prep class. This class will thoroughly prepare you to take the FAA Unmanned Aircraft-General (UAG) written test. It will cover all of the subjects in detail that you will need to learn in order to be a safe drone pilot. These include Federal regulations, airspace, operating requirements, flight restrictions, aviation weather sources, effects of weather on small UAS performance, small UAS loading, emergency procedures, crew resource management, radio communications procedures, small UAS performance and aerodynamics, physiological factors affecting pilot performance, aeronautical decision making and judgement, airport operations, and maintenance and preflight inspection requirements.

Prerequisites

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • You need to be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
  • You will be provided detailed instructions on how to apply for your license after successfully completing this course.
  • FAA test fee (about $160) is not included.
