Discover the art of sustainable jewelry design by using recyclable materials such as plastic, metal, and paper. In this course, you will learn to create unique jewelry pieces—earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, and pendants—while focusing on eco-friendly practices. This course covers basic design principles, the use of tools, preparation of materials, and techniques for repurposing everyday items into wearable art. Students will be encouraged to think critically about their material choices and how these decisions impact the environment. It also highlights the potential for creating one-of-a-kind pieces that stand out from mass-produced jewelry, using techniques such as cutting, shaping, joining, and finishing to bring out the beauty of upcycled components.
