Course Description

This is an introductory course in Japanese as a second language, designed to introduce students to fundamental vocabulary, grammar, and basic writing and reading. Emphasis is placed on pronunciation, listening, comprehension, colloquial speaking, and developing the ability to communicate at a basic level. Students will be expected to speak frequently and actively participate.
