Course Description

This course is a prerequisite to all NCCER construction trade certifications. Students will learn about Basic Safety; Communication Skills; Construction Drawings, Construction Math, Hand Tools, Basic Rigging, OSHA 10 and Employability Skills. Rewrite (4/19/23): This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to the construction industry. The course covers various aspects of the industry and provides an overview of the roles and responsibilities of various professionals in the field. Throughout the course, students become familiar with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career in the craft profession. In addition to construction skills, the course focuses on developing basic communication and employability skills. Students also learn about the importance of safety in the construction industry, including the proper use of equipment.
