Course Description

This course is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills required to excel in providing compassionate, competent care in a home health agency setting. Aligned with the minimum requirements set forth by the State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration, students gain a comprehensive set of skills enabling them to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care as a Home Health Aide. The course content focuses on critical thinking, problem-solving, professional and ethical behavior, household management, recordkeeping, patient personal and emergency care, nutritional needs, and employability skills.

A full refund (100% of tuition) will be issued provided that the course is officially cancelled or a written drop with refund request is submitted via email on or before the established drop deadline (one day prior to the course start date). Requests submitted after this deadline require a written appeal to the department and are not guaranteed. This policy applies to all courses offered by the School of Continuing Education and Professional Development.
