1101 - Miami GEAR UP College Explorers Summer Camp (Kendall Campus)

Course Description

The Miami GEAR UP College Explorers Summer Camp program will provide FREE educational experiences to rising 7th and 8th grade students from the following participating middle schools: Cutler Bay MS, Richmond Heights MS, Jorge Mas Canosa MS, and Lamar Louise Curry MS, Campers will enjoy field trips, challenging academic curriculum, learn about building interpersonal skills, and be exposed to possible future career options. Campers will visit various college campuses to explore interactive activities to determine interest in a variety of careers. Miami GEAR UP Leadership Summer Camp will be hosted at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus. FREE bus transportation will be provided from each school site to the MDC Kendall Campus. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Camp sessions will operate Monday - Friday from 9AM - 4PM (excluding holidays). The goal of Miami GEAR UP is to provide educational resources and support while helping students plan and prepare for high school and beyond! Space is limited- sign up today!
