Course Description

This comprehensive course encompasses a wide range of dental procedures, including tasks such as dental charting, performing coronal polishing, taking alginate impressions, precision in pouring and refining study models, the application of pit and fissure sealants, administering topical fluorides, applying liners and bases, suture removal, eliminating excess dental cement, crafting temporary crowns, as well as the placement and removal of dental dams, matrix bands, retraction cords, temporary restorations, and periodontal dressings. Our Florida Board of Dentistry approved program offers a comprehensive educational experience designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to attain the Expanded Functions Certification. We are committed to providing our students with a thorough understanding of procedures as outlined in Rule Chapter 64B5-25, F.A.C., and in accordance with the dental practice act and administrative code.
