About the AutoCAD (ACU)

  • This course provides students with hands-on training in AutoCAD, progressing from basic 2D drawing commands to the creation of professional construction documents. It is aligned with the objectives of the Autodesk AutoCAD Certified User (ACU) exam and prepares students to demonstrate entry-level CAD drafting competency for residential design and documentation.
  • Students will work through guided modules to build floorplans, elevations, site plans, and detail sheets using AutoCAD's drawing, annotation, and plotting tools. Students who successfully complete this course will be prepared to take the Autodesk Certified User AutoCAD exam, verifying industry-standard AutoCAD proficiency at an entry level.
