Course Description

This course will introduce students to the foundation principles of drawing and train the eye to really “see” the 3-dimensional world. Learn essential skills to accurately bring forms to paper with the elements of art: line, shape, form, value, space, texture. Introduction to simple and complex edges, proportion, spatial relationships, depth, and shading techniques to create the illusion of form, light and shadow. Class will include a variety of assignments and home practice. No prior drawing experience required.
