Course Description

Learn methods on how to read and write in English in a more academic and professional manner. By taking this course, students will learn how to recognize organizational patterns within an academic text, how to do research, extract information, ideas, and opinions from highly specialized sources. Once students are able to learn the reading skills they will learn how to write linguistically complex essays and summarize the research methodology and findings in a report while developing new vocabulary and continuing to learn about American culture.
