Course Description

This course is designed to teach foundational skills in Autodesk Fusion 360 for students preparing to earn the Autodesk Certified User (ACU) credential in Fusion after demonstrating industry-relevant product development capabilities. The course includes self-paced lessons, hands-on practice, and certification-aligned assessments covering essential concepts in 3D CAD, CAM, and CAE. Students will develop skills in sketching, part modeling, assemblies, advanced modeling, sculpting, and manufacturing workflows.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Navigate the Fusion 360 user interface and configure workspaces
  • Create and edit 2D sketches and build solid 3D models
  • Assemble multi-component products and analyze for interference
  • Generate 2D drawings and document parts with dimensions and annotations
  • Perform advanced modeling and sculpting for organic shapes
  • Prepare models for manufacturing and 3D printing
