The Open Door Grant is designed for Florida residents who want to improve their career opportunities. Through this grant, Miami Dade College is offering financial support for selected workforce programs that lead to industry certification. Tuition fees, exams, books, and materials will be covered for students who need assistance to enroll in a short-term workforce program.
Open Door Grant funding is limited and based on fund availability. All applications are reviewed in date order.

Our 120-hour CNA program focuses on essential patient care skills, including vital signs monitoring, documentation, activities of daily living, body mechanics, and basic medical terminology. You'll gain experience in the classroom, our CNA lab, and at an outside healthcare facility.
