0945 - Florida Civics Literacy Exam BOOT CAMP (District)
Course Description
The Florida Civics Literacy Exam (FCLE) is a computer-based assessment that measures students' civic literacy knowledge. It includes 80 multiple-choice questions covering four domains: American Democracy, the United States Constitution, Founding Documents, and Landmark Impact on Law and Society. The exam is untimed and takes approximately 1 – 2 hours to complete.
To help you prepare for the FCLE, MDC offers its students FREE bootcamp reviews (3 hours long) available in two formats:
-
In-Person Bootcamps: Available at all campuses on different dates and times.
-
MDC LIVE Bootcamps: An online synchronous format (LIVE) that allows you to participate from anywhere via Zoom.

Recommendations
You can take the FCLE right after attending an in-person bootcamp session. Testing information will be provided at the end of each bootcamp, or you can schedule to take the test later at the campus of your choice. If you attend an MDC LIVE bootcamp session, you will need to schedule the FCLE for a day and time of your choice. In-person testing is FREE for MDC students. You may also schedule a remote test for a fee.
If you do not pass the FCLE on your first attempt, don't worry! You can retake the exam. There is a 7-day waiting period after the 2nd attempt, but this can be waived if you complete an intervention in less than 7 days.
