Course Description

This course provides both theoretical and practical applications aiming to reinforce the essential dental radiography principles and procedures required for certification. It encompasses topics such as the fundamentals of radiography, dental radiography practice and equipment, radiation biology, radiation safety protocols, radiographic anatomy, radiography image, films, and processing, intra-oral radiographic methods, additional dental radiography techniques, as well as infection control and sterilization procedures. This dental radiography program complies with the radiography training requirements for dental assistants outlined in Chapter 64B-9.011 of the Florida state regulations. The required clinical offers personalized, practical clinical exposure using mannequins to assess competency in performing X-ray procedures and understanding Radiation Safety principles.
