About EmpowerU Camp at Kendall Campus


  • EmpowerU Summer Camp is an inclusive program designed to support neurodivergent children in building confidence, independence, and meaningful social connections through games, creative arts, movement, and hands-on activities. The camp provides a safe, welcoming, and structured environment where children can connect with peers, form friendships, and practice teamwork.
  • This camp serves both kids and teens through a structured program designed to be age-appropriate, engaging, and developmentally aligned. Campers are grouped into three age brackets and rotate through themed courses throughout the week, each one hands-on, interactive, and skills-based, striking a balance between creativity, learning, and recreation.

Parents of children with neurodivergent conditions (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD) are encouraged to apply. Enrollment is limited, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is recommended.

EmpowerU Camp is designed to provide meaningful growth opportunities, including:

  • Developing social skills and forming friendships
  • Exposure to new experiences and activities
  • Building independence and self-confidence
  • Continuing learning and skill development during the summer

Each camper participates in:

  • Morning Drop-off: 8:00 to 9:00 AM
  • One structured activity in the morning, 9:00 to 11:30 AM
  • Midday: Lunch and supervised break
  • One structured activity in the afternoon, 1:00 to 3:30 PM
  • Afternoon Pick-up: 3:30 to 5:00 PM
  • Lunch is provided for campers. However, if your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, we ask that they bring their own lunch to ensure their needs are safely met

  • Technology (iBrick, Minecraft, Lego Robotics, and more)

Yes, children are welcome to attend with their RBT or Personal Care Attendant. However, the RBT or attendant must be cleared through Miami Dade College ACCESS Disability Services prior to participation. To schedule clearance, contact:

The cost of camp is $325 per week.
