This course is designed for professionals aspiring to become licensed customs brokers under CBP. It offers an intensive, comprehensive review of the regulatory, procedural, and technical topics covered by the Customs Broker License Examination (CBLE), including import/export entry procedures, classification, valuation, duty assessment, trade agreements, and compliance obligations.
To enroll, you must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be a United States citizen.
- Recommended: Minimum of one year of experience in international trade, logistics, customs entry, or related import/export operations.
Upon completion, you will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of customs entry procedures, classification, valuation, marking, and duty assessment under HTSUS and Title 19 CFR. You will also learn to apply HTSUS and CFR sections to classify imported merchandise, determine applicable duties and trade-agreement rules, and navigate CBP automated systems like ACE.
This course uses an MDC Blended delivery method, combining in-person instruction with online fixed-date sessions for a flexible learning experience.
This course prepares you to take the Customs Broker License Examination (CBLE) administered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Upon passing the exam and meeting all CBP requirements, you can apply for your customs broker license.
